Star Wars in Concert

Yesterday I went to the Star Wars concert in Hershey, PA. I went by myself because Mom couldn't go and Dad wouldn't (he can listen to the music on CD for a cheaper price he said). I drove there yesterday (5 hour drive) and got there an hour and 45 minutes before the concert started. Luckily I only had to wait in line for 20 minutes before the doors opened. My seat was on the floor, 20 rows from the stage. I'll upload the audio I recorded of my favorite pieces on this post, then make a separate post later with the pictures I took.

The thing I used to upload audio (audioboo.com) only lets you upload 5 minutes at once, so the opening was cut short. Instead of posting that audio file, here is a youtube clip of another performance:

Now here are the recordings I made. If you hear an annoying guy cheering, it is not me. Some idiot sat behind me who said he was only there "for the lights." And he kept saying Star Trek instead of Star Wars lol. I think he had too many beers before the show started :P

Duel of the Fates:

Listen!

Anakin's Theme:

Listen!

The Flag Parade:

Listen!

Across the Stars:

Listen!

Battle of the Heros:

Listen!

Imperial March:

Listen!

Asteroid Field:

Listen!

TIE Fighter Attack:

Listen!

Light of the Force:

Listen!

The played The Throne Room and End Titles at the end, but the cheering idiot behind me pretty much ruined that recording...

After the concert I went to my brother's who lives near Hershey and spent the night, then came home today.

Pictures later.

I can't help it!

I can't help but listen to this over and over again:

What is it about music that does that to a person?

Going for a Visit

Ashley keeps bugging me to go and visit soon before the end of school. So I'm going to go out there on Friday. That means I've gotta wake up at 5 a.m. and be on the road by 6ish to get there by 7.

-_-

At least Mom will be driving cos I'm not comfortable driving on the interstate yet.

So if you're on I-80 going west on Friday between 6 and 7, make sure you honk if you see me :p

Since this post really doesn't have much point and since I won't be posting for a few more days, I'll include my new favorite music for your enjoyment.

Ha!

As if anyone will listen to them anyway.

The man on the left in the 10th picture is the real Stauffenberg's grandson. Also the pic from 2:08 isn't even from the movie lol. Not sure why it's in there :\

This is my favorite. I love the use of the percussion instruments (I think that's what they are).

Love the percussion in this one too.

Seated left to right are:

Colonel Albrecht Mertz von Quirnheim (executed by firing squad on July 20, 1944), General Friedrich Olbricht (executed by firing squad on July 20, 1944), General Field Marshal (ret.) Erwin von Witzleben (executed by hanging on August 8, 1944).

Standing left to right are:

Dr. Carl Friedrich Goerdeler (executed by hanging on February 2, 1945), Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (executed by firing squad on July 20, 1944), General (ret.) Ludwig Beck (executed after two failed attempts to kill himself on July 20, 1944), General Henning von Tresckow (committed suicide by blowing himself up with a hand granade on July 21, 1944).

This music plays throughout the first scene with Hitler:

Standing in the middle is Lieutenant Werner von Haeften (executed by firing squad on July 20, 1944)

These ones play throughout the scenes at The Wolf's Lair on July 20th (i.e. the day of the assassination attempt)

This is played as the conspirators are being executed/arrested:

Random Post

Here is a random post for you to enjoy. I really don't have much to write about (unless you want me to explain the PSSA's). So I'll fill this one with music and videos.

:D

Watch whatever appeals to you....if anything. Oh, and as an added bonus, you can see a picture of Alex's twin at the end. No, it's not him, but a kid that looks 90% like him.

The most awesome opening for a Bond movie....EVER!!!!

QoS gunbarrel sequence. Which comes at the end of the movie. o_O O_o

QoS James Bond Theme. I like this one:

Ok, so it's kinda slow, but it's still good.

Best QoS quotes. Some of them you have to have seen the movie to fully understand.
NOTE: They are not in sequential order...

M: This is about trust. You said you weren't motivated by revenge.
James Bond: I am motivated by my duty.
M: No... I think you're so blinded by inconsolable rage that you don't care who you hurt. When you can't tell your friends from your enemies, it's time to go.

M: It'd be a pretty cold bastard who didn't want revenge for the death of someone he loved.

Felix Leiter: You know who Greene is and you want to put us in bed with him.
Gregg Beam: Yeah, you're right. We should just deal with nice people.

[last lines]
M: Bond, I need you back.
James Bond: I never left.

James Bond: [at a dirty, small motel] What are we doing?
Agent Fields: We're teachers on sabbatical. This fits our cover.
James Bond: No it doesn't. I'd rather stay at a morgue. Come on.
[they go to a nicer hotel]
James Bond: [to the hotel receptionist] Hello. We're teachers on sabbatical and we've just won the lottery.

Camille: [Regarding Bond] There is something horribly efficient about you.

M: If you could avoid killing every possible lead, it would be deeply appreciated.
James Bond: I'll do my best.
M: I've heard that before.

Mr. White: The first thing you should know about us is... we have people everywhere.

[After she finds out her bodyguard is a double agent working for Quantum]
M: When someone says that they have people everywhere, you expect it to be hyperbole. Lots of people say that. Florists use that expression. It doesn't mean that they have people working for them in the bloody room.

Camille: [notices they are being followed] Friend of yours?
James Bond: I don't have any friends.

M: You killed a man in Bregenz.
James Bond: I did my best not to.
M: You shot him in cold blood and threw him off a roof. I would hardly call that showing restraint!

I don't know why, but I really love this ship (and the music):

It's even better when it's capsizing:

So, as I promised...

Alex's twin:

Alex's eyes are brown (I think) and his hair has a hint of red instead of blond. Alex looks older too :p
But other than that, they look exactly the same. The nose is 100% the same. lol

WOW!!!!

This kid is amazing:

The great part is, he's not even using sheet music!!! He memorized the whole thing!!!

I was actually looking up tutorials on how to play that. All the ones on there suck monkey nuts.

lol

Now how does he compare to the real thing?

Oh yeah, I already posted once today btw.
