Sick T_T

I've been sick since Friday.

Sore throat all day Friday.

Bad congestion yesterday and today.

My head feels like it's gonna explode.

New House Pics!

I had to stop at the new house Friday to let the gas company in to turn on the gas and light the pilot light in the furnace. While I was there I took some pictures with my cellphone (hence the bad quality). I want to go down again soon and take some better pictures and also take measurements to figure out furniture placement.

So here's the grand tour :P


The garage is huge! The day I took these pictures, I turned my car around *inside* the garage so I didn't have to back out into the alley :P



This is the backyard as seen from the garage and the back of the house.




There is a small man-made pond and waterfall off to the side of the house. The previous owners couldn't take the fish with them, so they left them for us. There are a few goldfish, including the huge one seen above, plus two others. Not sure what kind they are.

This room will start out as Mom's office, but she and her BF are thinking about turning it into a bar.


Dinning room. The door on the right leads to the downstairs bathroom. Inside and to the left of that doorway is another small room that has the washer, dryer, and basement entrance.

This will probably be my room.



Eventually we'll use this room as a guest room, but for now it'll probably be storage.

The bathtub in the upstairs bathroom has jacuzzi jets! :D


Stanley Steamer came Saturday and cleaned the carpets and tiled floors. Gas, water, and electricity have all been turned on.

I'll take a load of boxes with me tonight when I go back down to the college for my Tech Drawing class (ugh). I'll probably take some more down each day this week. Friday is the official moving day.

Mom informed me yesterday that they will be closing on the house this afternoon! :D

Move in will be sometime over the weekend.

Sitting in Tech Drawing class. Class hasn't started yet. The cute guy (Mark) walked in. I looked up and he was already looking at me. We both looked away :P

Hired!

Well Dad had a session meeting today and I'm hired :D

If you missed my post about it, I'm basically just the janitor for the church :P I just have to go in and clean once a week. Also cut the grass and snow removal. I start in two weeks.

It pays only $140/month (after taxes) until the church does the budget in two months. When they do the budget we'll see about raising it up to around $200.

Income will go primarily to putting gas in my car.

Lender Troubles

Mom left this message on my FB page:

My lender says we cannot close on Monday. They say they need more information before I can close. Im not sure it is going to happen at all - sorry.

What the fuck?!

This is the second time the lender has asked for more information! Mom's BF used to be a real estate lawyer and said last week he wants to give them a piece of his mind, but mom won't let him. I think she should! I just messaged her back and said she's come too far just to quit now.

I sometimes tweet pictures while I'm out and about if I see something tweet-worthy. It's not really fair that those of you who don't follow me on twitter can't see them. So I guess I'll post the college related pics on here :)

This is the lobby of the theater and Technology Building (which I'm in most).

Here's the view from another lounge by the bookstore. This lounge has a bunch of couches, armchairs, tables for working, and a fireplace with a TV above it.

I'm sitting in my Intro to AutoCAD night class bored. We're on break now. Figured I'd try out blogging from my iPod again.

The cute guy in my night classes has a really nice smile and voice ^_^ His name is Mark if I haven't already told you.

I know he's straight cos I stalked him on FB :P

Job

Well I unofficially have a job!

Dad came home the other day and told me he found a job for me. He told me that he was at the post office and the guy who cleans our church approached him and told him he'll be resigning at the end of September because he can't keep up with all his other jobs (he does a lot of stuff for the city). So that job will be open at the end of the month.

I've actually been after this job since last year. The guy never did that great of a job since he did have a lot on his plate.

Anyway, the job doesn't pay that much but it is a lot more than what I make now :P The current salary (which hasn't been raised in years) is $150some a month, but Dad says he can probably get it up to around $200. If I get the job then I'd have to go in once a week (Fri. or Sat.) and do general cleaning. In the winter I'll have to do snow removal (which Dad and I were doing anyway).

Dad has to take everything to the Session next Sunday during their monthly meeting.
