Going Out To Lunch.

Last week, before Mom moved out of her old school, her and her aide (Mrs. M) went to lunch together. Mrs. M said that she wanted to say bye to me too, so Mom and I are going to have lunch with her today. Also one of the office secretaries (Mrs. H) is coming too. I dunno if I posted about that before or not.

I've blogged briefly about Andrew, Kelsey, and Derrick before but now since I'm going to school with them again I suspect I'll be talking about them more often.

*Adds labels for them*

Last week sometime I sent them friend requests on Facebook; the first contact I've had with them in 5 years. Since then I've had 4 other old friends send me friend request; Katie Q. (there's more than 1 Katie), Lauren (who I had a crush on in pre-school :O), Erika, and Samantha (who I can't remember :\).

Now, Kelsey is one of those people I'd go straight for if I had the chance with her :) I liked her 5 years ago and I've had a spot for her in my heart ever since then. That may sound sappy but I don't know how else to say it lol.

ZOMG! Why am I talking about straight stuff on a gay blog? :p

Ok, well I dunno what else to say right now. I'll just go back to reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Oh btw, Kelsey "wrote on my wall" (aka sent me a message) on Facebook saying, "Rumor has it you're coming back to ENTER SCHOOL INITIALS HERE? :)"

"Word travels fast... Yes, I'm coming back."

"Yay! That's so exciting :)"

Then I just typed this morning, "Scary is more like it :\"

Pressure in My Head

Last week I started sneezing more than usual. That didn't really set off any alarms at the time. Then towards the end of the week, or the beginning of this week, I noticed that my left eye looked like I had gotten soap in it. By that I mean the eye ball was slightly red and more veins were showing than normal.

Then it started to hurt everytime I looked at light and also when I moved it in a certain direction. The best thing to do then is to get off the computer and away from the TV so the eye can "rest" right? Well, I didn't lol. I have an eyepatch that is used when you look through a telescope but you can't close your other eye. Anyway, I thought that would give my eye a "rest", and Dad agreed that it would be best to keep light away from it, while I continued to go about my usual routine.

Then the eye started to water more than usual. So Dad started looking for eye drops in the house, but we don't have any.

Then early this morning, it got to the worst point...

I woke up around 4 a.m. There was this intense pain at the top left of my left eye, like were the eyebrow ends. Everytime I opened either of my eyes and looked at something with light this spot started to hurt. Also, my nose was very stuffy. At this point it was obvious that it was a sinus problem.

My eyes were watering constantly at this point. Daylight was starting to pour into the room, so this made it difficult to open my eyes. Initially, I laid face down on my bed but this only worsened the pain/pressure in my head. So then I tried laying on my back, but this meant I couldn't open my eyes because of the light coming through the windows.

Finally Dad got up around 6. I told him to come into my room and close the blinds on the windows so I could at least open my eyes. By then it was like I was crying. My eyes wouldn't stop watering, my nose was stuffy and running... gah it felt horrible.

Finally around 6:30 I got up and went into the bathroom. Luckily I found some sinus reliever in the cabinet. I read the box to see what they are used for:

Sinus Headache
Sinus Pain & Pressure
Nasal Congestion
Sneezing
Itchy, Watery Eyes
Runny Nose

I had all of those except for the sneezing.

So I took two of the horse pills, and flopped back down on my bed. I woke up around 10. My nose was completely clear, my eyes were fine, no pain or pressure in my head. The pills had done their job.

My left eye is still a bit red. I just took two more pills because the "itchy, watery eyes" symptom was back. So we'll see what happens next.

Here are some pics I took today of my new room:

Hmm... It looks smaller on here, but it's bigger than my previous room. The pile on the lower left corner is pictures that have to be hung up.

I still haven't gotten stuff where it's supposed to be yet.

My bed. The eyepatch can be seen on the night stand.

Pile of Kleenexes on the floor :p

I want to paint the night stand a brownish color to match the other wood in the room. It's green cos it matched Dad's room when he was a kid.

My new desk set up. Most of the things on the desk haven't found a home yet. I'm still working on putting everything where it should be.

Casper. Lucky is the multi-colored cat in the other pics. =^_^=

Well, I think I'll get off the computer for awhile. I'm gonna go read some more of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets.

P.S.

HAPPY B-DAY MIKEY!

P.S.S. I got a MINI Cooper!

Interesting Happenings From Today AND Thank You

Interesting Things that Happened Today:

1. At church the psycho lady was there.

Okay, okay. I probably shouldn't be calling her psycho cos she's really not. That's just what Alex called her last year, and it's just kinda stuck (he also named the organist "Elbows" but that's another story).

This lady is one those that thinks people are after her. Do you know what I mean? I can't think of the correct term.

Anywho, she usually sits in the very back with Alex and I. Well, today Alex and I were kinda hogging the pew. Not because she was there. In fact, she came in awhile after we sat down. She sat in the pew in front of us that is normally occupied by some other people who are on vacation.

The funny part is; everytime Alex and I moved, she would look back at us. She probably thought I was gonna strangle her with piano wire *evil laugh.* Yeah, that's not funny :\

2. Alex and I barely said two words to each other in church.

3. I've been watching Valkyrie, and studying the whole plot and it's members. Especially Claus von Stauffenberg. The man lost his right hand, left eye, and the 4th and 5th fingers on his left hand. So, I was going around today trying to do things with only the middle finger, index finger, and thumb of my left hand.

I didn't think it was too difficult... until I had to go to the bathroom :\

4. I sliced the side of my thumb (right hand) open on something late this afternoon.

:(

5. Someone bought a new vacuum cleaner for the church. I got the job of putting it together. I want the job of cleaning the church and cutting the grass (it's a paying job). But everytime I bring it up with Dad, he says the position isn't open.

Look, the guy that does it now doesn't even go to our church anymore. He let's the grass go too long, as well as the dirt and spider webs inside the church. Not to mention the dead flies!

So everytime Dad and I are in the church, I find something to complain about (such as the dead flies). He says, "So clean it." I reply, "Sorry, but it's not my job."

Childish, I know.

6. A PSP (Pennsylvania State Police) unit was over at the neighbor's today. Too bad nobody was home. He knocked on the door and waited a minute or so. Then went and sat in his car for maybe 5 minutes, then left.

I don't think it was about my complaint since I only made it last night, and since it's a holiday weekend.

7. This one's interesting.

Our front yard ends at the edge of a hill. When standing at the edge of it you can see the river, bridge, and also the buildings directly below. The river, bridge, and the other end of the valley are the main attraction.

Well, today a young couple was out there enjoying the view...and each other!

lol

Read my twitter to get more. I'll just say that the boy was CUTE!

:D

8. This one's the most important.

I was sitting out on the stoop reading my latest interest titled, Delivered From Evil. It's a WWII book. It's HUGE! Almost 1,000 pages. I'm only on chapter 4 titled, Adolf Hitler. I just finished the Benito Mussolini chapter last night. It's interesting, but boring at the same time lol.

Anyway, I was sitting out on the stoop. It was just after 9 p.m. I wasn't really reading anymore since it was getting dark. I was actually watching the shirtless guys playing basketball, and also another guy playing tennis.

Alex had had the hockey net earlier, but hadn't brought it back yet. I was kinda hanging around, waiting for him to bring it back thinking, maybe he'll ask me to go sit on his porch with him. After all, he did mention it a two weeks ago (or was it last week?), but still hadn't invited me to go over.

Well he showed up and put the net down. I said, "Thank you." All he said was, "Hey, we'll sit on the porch sometime. Just not tonight cos I have to get up sorta early for a Memorial Day parade we are playing in." I just said, "Alright." and he left.

Damn! He pulled the same stunt last time!

lol

Well, that's it I guess...

Oh!

I just realized there is supposed to be a second part to this post.

The last post I made was my 100th since I started this blog (not counting my old blog).

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who reads and comments. Especially the ones who comment. I love getting comments.

^_^

Seriously, thanks for reading, giving me advice even tho I don't always follow it, emailing me, talking to me online, etc.

And a big thanks to Naturgesetz, Col, Mr. HCI, and Steevo, AND Courage who have had to put up with me since November. Can you believe it's been almost 7 months?

Don't know what else to say other than thank you again!

Choices, Choices, Choices....

My head i gonna explode!!!

Since January, I have been going back and forth from one career thought to another, and back again. I need some sort of feedback from someone, so I will list my career choices for you then you can tell me what you think.

1. Naval architect:

I lack the math skills required to have this career. I hate math anyway. :p

2. Architectural drafter:

This would better suit me in the architectural department. I would create models (computer mostly) and/or draw up the actual blueprints based off the architects measurements or whatever.

3. US Army officer (this one's stretching it :p):

As you know, I have an extreme interest in military history and because of that I also have an interest in military tactics. I also love watching battle scenes in movies. I'm sure someone is going to say 'movies are not like the real thing.' I understand that. I will most likely not go for this one.....I'm too much of a wimp.

4. Writer.

Again here comes the military interest coming in.
With those other two blogs, I'm am going to be able to store and organize a lot of information about their respective wars. I will also be able to go into detail extensively. That is, whenever I get posting on those blogs.

I have practically no knowledge on what it takes to get a book (or more) published. I do know that you have to have a target audience. I think (and so does my dad) that WWII books would have a large target audience. People studying it, professors, possibly officers in the US army and all of its branches who are looking for strategies used in those battles, etc. So, I've already got a target audience. Should/Can I go to college for this? I haven't really looked too much into this career yet.

My goal for writing is a bit ambitious. I want to write the most comprehensive and detail account of WWII and/or the Civil War. Obviously these will have to include more than one book to go through all the detail [not to mention TONS of reasearch (which I find fun)]. Yeah this is a bit ambitious. But I think it would be better to start out big then scale down. That's just my mad thinking. :p

I know this is common in just about everyone to go through all this. But my head is seriously going to explode soon.

So what do you guys think?

Oh and incase you haven't seen it yet, I have been posting quotes on my IM thingy and also over there under my name and profile picture. These are quotes that I like for one reason or another. The one over there now is one of many favorites from the film Patton, which is based on the famous WWII general, George. S. Patton III.

::EDITED:: No Good Titles For This Post.

I finally started my Civil War blog. Now I'm not sure where to start with it. The link to it is right over there ------------->

::EDIT:: I also created the WWII blog. The link is also over there.

Well, that's all I have for today.

Oh, my brother and wife were talking with us via webcam today. Everything is going fine with the little one. Dad and one of my other brothers are going down there tomorrow. I will have the house to myself all day.

^_^

hehe

I wonder what trouble I can get into. :p

Oh, and one more thing. I have now become re-obsessed with The Godfather movies. I have always liked them but didn't have the movies themselves. I just watched them whenever they were on TV. Well, now I bought The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. Part III is good, but not as great as the other ones, so I didn't waste my money on that one. Not yet anyway.

I also have The Godfather book by Mario Puzo which the movie was made from. I read it awhile ago. I also have The Godfather Returns by Mark Winegardner (I think). I haven't read Returns yet, but I read some things about it and the next one in the novel series, The Godfather's Revenge. They sound like good reads so I'm going to reread the first one, then the others.

The original Godfather book by Puzo is a classic, as are the films. I recommend you check them out if you are interested in Mafia type stuff like I am. I promise you, The Godfather is FAR better than The Sopranos.

:)

Check out the linked Wikipedia articles if you want.
